Hi. I’m Pep Torn /pəːp tɒrn̩/ [@peptorn], 42 years old. Born in Barcelona and grown up between Barcelona and Sant Quintí de Mediona (@AjuntamentSQM). You can find information about Barcelona by yourself, but about Sant Quintí de Mediona deserves to be said that it’s a wonderful town in the vineyards and forest hills of the Penedès region (@enoPENEDES), where you will find some of the best people and wines of the world.
I’m the director of the European University Institute [@EuropeanUni] Library [@EUILib], settled in San Domenico di Fiesole, Florence (Italy). I’m a librarian surrounded by more than half a million documents about the history, the law, the sociology, the political science and the economics of Europe that a team of librarians manage to help a team of academics, PhD and Postdoc students to research on these and some other disciplines. Today a Library is the service we offer, not the collection we guard.
I was considering quitting Twitter just when, because of Lluis Agustí’s fault -I presume-, I’was involved in this experience; to be the curator of Catalan Voices. @LluisAgusti, I bless you and curse you for that!
