I have spent my childhood between French Brittany and Paris surroundings, most precisely Fontainebleau but from my 18 years old onwards, I started to live “abroad” and I became an “intercultural European citizen of the world with multiple intertwined identities” with growing and strengthening thin roots in Barcelona ;-).
After six years in Rome, one year in Cambridge (US), three years in Beijing and Shanghai, one year in Singapore and one month in Tokyo… I moved to Barcelona, a fascinating and sunny Mediterranean city breathing all kind of cultures in which I feel at home now, a city I made mine.
I am passionate about Asia, performing Arts, music, intercultural approaches and I love both nature and the city. I have also been taking amateur theatre classes and workshops on and forth during the last years, from Commedia del Arte to Social Forum Theatre.
I have been working at Casa Asia www.casaasia.eu since 2003, in its beautiful headquarters at Palau Baro de Quadras first and then at Sant Pau Modernist Site, currently in charge of the Diversity and Intercultural Programme in the framework of which I created projects such as Barcelona Asian Choir, BabelAsia and ConnectAsia, and the Asia Festival, trying to connect people from the East and the West and proud to be working for a public institution which is aiming at promoting the interest, mutual knowledge and relations with Asia!
Monday is the first day of the Fire Monkey Year, which we will also celebrate in Barcelona! Let’s see what Twitter can do to show you the intercultural and Asian flavor of this city! Hope you enjoy it!
