Curator #129: Roser Cabré-Verdiell

RoserCabreWords and books. That’s what I’m made of. I’m Roser (@RoserCabre), a born and raised Barcelona reader and writer who is also a journalist and international relations expert. I communicate and I write. Plain and simple.

My professional self enjoys managing communication projects at international organisations like the European Forest Institute and the European Commission. My field of expertise is everything digital, from websites to knowledge management and media.

My personal self is passionate about writing. I’m a storyteller. I write fiction and nonfiction. I’ve published two noir fiction stories in Catalan (here and here) and a juvenile illustrated novella (here). I’ve also been part of the workshops at the summer writing program at the University of Iowa.

Besides words and books, I’m also made of overripe figs and chewy mints, palm trees and tacky Italian songs, abandoned places and borderlands. Besides twitter, I’m also on instagram and linkedin. And sometimes I’m also in Iowa and Tokyo. In Texas and Louisiana. In NY, Baltimore and Pennsylvania.

What will I be tweeting about? Books and words and literature festivals and music and my Barcelona daily life and whatever my eyes find thrilling enough for my hands to type.

I’d be happy if you join me from 31 August to 6 September. See you all on @catalanvoices!
