My name is Eudald (@ecorreig), and I’m a mountaineer who happens to do theoretical physics for a living. I was born in Barcelona some 25 years ago. Fortunately, though, my parents realized their mistake and went back to Reus, where I grew up among hazelnuts and vermut. Reus is this town in the south of Catalonia that tries to be a city but doesn’t quite succeed, and that is doomed to be the capital of the Catalan Countries in years to come.
In case you want to know more about me, I did my Bachelor in physics in Barcelona and Switzerland, and did masters in theoretical physics and mathematics in the Netherlands and California. Now I am back in Catalonia, trying to do my bit for the country and to enjoy its small pleasures in exchagne.
As for the interesting part; as a kid I used to go hiking with my dad in Montsant, this beautiful mountain at the heart of the county of Priorat, which you probably know for its superb wine. From there I stepped it up a nodge to explore the Pyrenees, this steep and powerful mountain range that separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of Europe. Nowadays I try to spend a few weeks a year in the Alps, and I have also had the pleasure to climb in the Kurdistan, Scotland or Yosemite, among many other places.
Finally, I am very excited to be a part of @catalanvoices and I hope you will be interested in what I tweet and that you’ll share stuff with me!
