Curator #83: Miquel Àngel Escobar

My name is Miquel Àngel Escobar Gutiérrez, I’m 43 and I’m a journalist. I’ve worked for many different local and national media. For the last 15 years I’ve dedicated all my efforts to my trade union, UGT (Unió General de Treballadors de Catalunya), an organization for the defense of workers with a long tradition in our country and where I’m the responsible for communication and press. I’m an expert in corporate communication and I’ve also studied institutional and corporate communication administration. I am also a part-time professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a member of the Personal Branding postgraduate staff at Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona.

I’m the father of two kids and it is for them and their future that I have the conviction Catalonia needs to follow a new path, so that its citizens can build a new state where democracy, progress and justice are the highest priority. Catalan people need all our energies so we can contribute to a better and more free world. I’m absolutely committed to the social, democratic and peaceful revolution we’re now living in this small corner of old Europe.
